The Price for Little Mountain
Good Samaritans from the Northwest approached Twin Creek Timber (TCT) / Green Diamond (GD) early 2024 in an attempt to forestall logging by purchasing Little Mountain. They offered 2.3 Million and were scoffed at. Through online discussions TCT made it clear that their valuation of the timber was 2.3 Million and the remaining mountain after clearcutting when put on the real estate market given its one home zoning was worth 2.2 Million based on local comps. Thus they wouldn’t sell for less than $4.5 Million.
TCT/GD have no plans to maintain Little Mountain as a living and working forest. This is evident in the fact that GD will only sell to the highest bidder on the open market, targeting a price uneconomical to forestry and only feasible for residential development. This change in character and purpose of the land is what concerns Friends of Little Mountain most.

This response states GD will start logging, that they gave TL 1 yr extension to find an alternative buyer but don’t see that happening and they can’t wait any longer.
