Little Mountain, a gem nestled in the heart of Trout Lake valley, has been a cherished spot for our community for years. Surrounded by organic farming and dairies, it has served as an informal recreational area where locals enjoy hiking, horseback riding and more. However, this beloved landscape is under threat.

The new owners of the land, Green Diamond/Twin Creeks Forestry intend to clearcut Little Mountain and spray it with herbicides in less than two months. This drastic action would not only destroy the natural beauty that we hold dear but also pose potential risks to our local organic farms due to chemical runoff or spray drift.

The Friends of Little Mountain are rallying the community to save this precious land. Our goal is not just preservation but also over time establishing a well-managed, working living Forest on Little Mountain - a sustainable long-term solution that respects both economic interests and environmental concerns.

However, time is running out. We need your help urgently to convince Green Diamond/Twin Creeks Forestry to delay their clearcutting plans or consider selective logging and leaving a living forest.

Let's stand together as one voice from Trout Lake valley - let's protect our jewel! Please sign this petition today and join us in saving Little Mountain!
